ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed today, July 6, 2020, against a tricycle driver who was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Saturday afternoon at Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Dumarao, Capiz.
The charges will be filed against Jomer Cruzada, 40, of Poblacion Ilawod before the Capiz Provincial Prosecutors Office.
Recovered from the suspect were seven sachets of suspected illegal drugs and P500 marked money.
Cruzada is presently detained at Dumarao Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a 41-year-old wanted person was arrested Saturday afternoon, July 4, for the crime of rape and acts of lasciviousness.
Gerard Dila of Brgy. Palaguian Maayon, Capiz did not resist when the warrant of arrest was served by the Maayon Municipal Police Station at the house of a relative in Puente Acuña Subdivision in Barangay Dayao here.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Faustino Roxas. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
