ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Panay Municipal Police Station arrested a tricycle driver after sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from his possession during a buy-bust operation around 4:39 p.m. Sunday, May 17, in Poblacion Ilaya, Panay, Capiz.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Capiz Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Panay Municipal Police Station.
Police identified the suspect as John Paul Alvez, 32, married, and a resident of Barangay Tanza Sur, Panay.
The suspect was identified as a street-level individual and is on the police priority target list.
Recovered from the suspect were about 28 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of PHP 190,400.
The suspect is under the custody of the Panay Municipal Police Station, while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against him.
