PRES. ROXAS, Capiz — A 20-year-old tricycle driver was arrested late Monday afternoon, July 21, for possessing unlicensed firearms and sachets of suspected illegal drug and dried marijuana leaves in Poblacion Pres Roxas, Capiz.
Now under the custody of President Roxas PNP was alias “John Loyd” of Brgy. Pantalan, President Roxas, Capiz.
The suspect was arrested after PCpl Errol Delfin Jr. and PCpl Jerol Salarda, both members of Pres Roxas PNP station, chanced the suspect around 6:50pm carrying an unidentified caliber of firearm tucked on his waist while in the national highway in front of a convenience store.
The suspect has tried to escape from the authorities but he was cornered and subdued.
Recovered from the suspect an unlicensed .38 caliber of firearm with two live ammunitions, 2 sachets of suspected shabu, 1 sachet of dried marijuana leaves, a “batangueño” knife, lighter, and cellphone.
He is presently under the custody of Pres.Roxas PNP while cases for violating RA 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against him.
