BACOLOD City – A tricycle driver died in a road accident at Granada-Alangilan Road in Barangay Granada here late Tuesday night.
Police identified the victim as Jose Ronnie Ruel Jr., 34, of Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Lieutenant Melchor Tolentino, head of Police Station 5, said Ruel was on his way home around 11:20PM when the accident happened.

Tolentino said the victim might have dozed off as he overlapped on the opposite lane where he hit a gutter at the roadside.
Ruel fell from his tricycle and hit his head on the pavement.
He was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) but was declared dead on arrival.
