BACOLOD City – The stab-riddled body of a tractor driver was found at Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Bryan Lañojan, 33, of Barangay Progreso.
Based on police investigation, Lañojan was drinking liquor with two co-workers Tuesday night when he and suspect Elmer Tabuga figured in an altercation.
Tabuga was told to go home by one of their companions, while Lañojan was left at the barracks, where his lifeless body was found by a watchman the following day.
Prior to the discovery of the body, Tabuga reportedly sold his shovel to a friend for P500 and rented a tricycle early Wednesday then fled, police said.
