The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the marketing and promotions arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), will hold the 15th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, from Aug. 15 to 17, 2025.
The biannual fair aims to highlight the tourism potential of Northeastern Luzon, particularly Region 2, a land rich in history and scenic landscapes connecting the Luzon lowlands with the Cordillera highlands.
Fifty buyers and 53 sellers or exhibitors will join the Business-to-Business (B2B) session on Aug. 15 at the Pulsar Hotel and Convention Center.
Participants include representatives from hotels, airlines, tour operators, and provincial tourism offices, who will engage in structured networking to explore collaborations and new product offerings with partners from Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.
The Business-to-Consumer (B2C) sessions will run from Aug. 16 to 17 at Robinsons Tuguegarao, offering discounted domestic tour packages, airline tickets, accommodations, and other travel products.
Visitors can also enjoy cultural performances, interactive games, and presentations from event sponsors and DOT regional offices.
“We are proud to bring the 15th Regional Travel Fair to Tuguegarao City, a place that naturally captivates with its breathtaking landscapes and deep-rooted traditions,” TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles said.
“This event continues to inspire local and global travelers to celebrate the enduring beauty and cultural richness of our country. Through this initiative, we hope to strengthen regional pride and empower tourism stakeholders by bringing attention to the distinct experiences that make Tuguegarao City truly special,” she added.
The TPB also arranged local tours for buyers, exhibitors, and sponsors to visit heritage landmarks such as the Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center, Horno Ruins, and St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral.
Participants will also experience the region’s natural attractions, including Callao Cave and the Pinacanauan River, to help them discover destinations they can promote to visitors.
The TPB said the fair is part of its mission to boost domestic tourism and introduce new travel experiences for Filipinos, encouraging the public to explore Northeastern Luzon and enjoy special travel deals at the RTF on Aug. 16 and 17 at Robinsons Tuguegarao.
