Dr. Leonel Abordo, Capiz provincial veterinarian, said he is waiting for the order of Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras on the ban so that the people of the province would be assured of safe products.
“There was a banning but there is no assurance that the African Swine Fever (ASF) will not enter into the province,” he said, adding that the provinces of Negros Occidental, Iloilo, and Aklan have already enforced the ban.
Earlier, Contreras issue an executive order banning the entry of pork and other processed meat products from Luzon.
