ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Two houses were destroyed while some electric poles and trees fell when a tornado hit Barangay Agambulong, Jamindan, Capiz Sunday afternoon.
Agambulong Punong Barangay Jose Caro said that the houses owned by Yonila Vasquez and Sanito Flores were destroyed.
He said some electric poles of Capiz Electric Cooperative (Capelco) fell and trees were uprooted.
The village chief also confirmed reports that some bus passengers were stranded because of the fallen trees and poles. The power supply from Capelco was cut for about an hour.
It was learned that the tornado lasted for about ten minutes simultaneously with a heavy downpour.
No one was hurt in the incident.
