Top wanted rape suspect nabbed in Cuartero

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The No. 1 most wanted person at the municipal level was arrested Saturday morning, May 16, in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Cuartero, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as alias “Rio,” 45, a resident of Sitio Tabunan, Barangay Lunayan, Cuartero.

The suspect is facing four counts of rape and two counts of qualified rape.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Joan Marie B. Bargas-Betita of Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz, on May 15, 2026.

The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.

The suspect is under the custody of the Cuartero Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
