Top drug suspect arrested in Roxas City sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police arrested a top-listed drug personality during a buy-bust operation Monday afternoon, Jan. 5, in Barangay Loctugan, authorities said.
The suspect, identified only as alias Mark, 39, unemployed and a resident of the area, was apprehended by the Roxas City Police Station Special Drug Enforcement Team led by Police Capt. Alladen B. Talaban, with support from the Capiz Regional Intelligence Unit.
Two members of the anti-illegal drugs operatives served as poseur-buyers during the operation, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Police said the suspect is classified as a street-level individual under the Provincial Priority Target List as of Dec. 26, 2025.
Recovered from the suspect were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 25 grams, with an estimated street value of PHP 170,000, PHP 2,000 in buy-bust money, and several non-drug items.
The suspect was taken to the Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police said the arrest forms part of intensified operations against illegal drugs in Roxas City and nearby areas to curb drug-related crimes.
