Top 2 Capiz most wanted arrested for rape
SAPIAN, Capiz — The No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Capiz province was arrested Thursday afternoon, August 28, in Barangay Poblacion, Sapian. The suspect, identified only as alias “Jay,” 26, a construction worker from Sitio Naasog, Barangay Majanlud, was apprehended on the strength of two warrants of arrest for statutory rape.

SAPIAN, Capiz — The No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Capiz province was arrested Thursday afternoon, August 28, in Barangay Poblacion, Sapian.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Jay,” 26, a construction worker from Sitio Naasog, Barangay Majanlud, was apprehended on the strength of two warrants of arrest for statutory rape.
The warrants, dated July 8, 2025, were issued by Judge Rommel Leonor of Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Mambusao under Criminal Case Nos. C-25-2761-06 and C-25-2762-06.
The charges were filed under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(D) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
The arrest was carried out jointly by the Sapian Municipal Police Station, the Capiz Police Provincial Office Tracker Team, and the Regional Special Operations Group of the Regional Intelligence Division 6.
The suspect is being held at the Sapian police station for proper disposition.
