Toddler drowns in kiddie pool

BACOLOD City – An outing with relatives ended in tragedy when a four-year-old girl died after she drowned in a swimming pool in a resort in Barangay Old Poblacion, Escalante City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.

Based on police investigation, the victim’s family attended her cousin’s birthday at the resort.

But while the victim was swimming at the kiddie pool, her family did not notice that she drowned.

The family immediately sought the assistance of the resort management after she was seen already floating in the pool.

She was taken to Vicente Gustilo District Hospital, but she passed away, according to the police.
