BACOLOD CITY – A three-year-old girl died, and her father was injured when their motorcycle collided with a parked truck near a gasoline station in Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on January 3.
Police Major Ryan Villasario, deputy chief of the San Carlos City Police Station, said the crash occurred at around 6:30 p.m. as the victims were on their way home.
The child, seated in front of her father, was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal head injuries. She was declared dead at a hospital.
Her father was transferred to a hospital in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, for further treatment, Villasario said.
He added that both parties have reached an initial settlement.
