TOBOSO, Negros Occidental — The Municipality of Toboso has formally received its 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System data files from the Philippine Statistics Authority-Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office, strengthening the town’s access to local-level statistics for planning and governance.
The turnover was held on April 16, 2026, in Toboso, Negros Occidental, according to a PSA press release dated April 27, 2026, with Reference No. PR2026-04-1845-64.
The PSA said the turnover marked a significant milestone in supporting evidence-based planning and decision-making in the municipality.
Through the CBMS, the local government unit gains access to comprehensive and disaggregated data that can guide policy formulation, resource allocation, priority-sector identification, and targeted interventions for constituents.
Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Jaime M. Bordomeo welcomed the PSA staff and officials during the turnover.
Bordomeo also conveyed the municipal government’s appreciation to the PSA for facilitating the official transfer of the CBMS data.
He led the receipt of the flash drive containing the 2024 CBMS data files, the notarized Data Turnover Agreement, and the signed acknowledgment receipt.
The PSA said the process was intended to ensure the proper use, management, and safeguarding of the information.
The data files were officially delivered by PSA Negros Occidental representatives Fredimar M. Gonzales, statistical specialist II, and Benjie Lee P. Seriñas, information systems analyst II.
The turnover reflects the continuing collaboration between the PSA and the Municipality of Toboso to make accurate and up-to-date data accessible for long-term development planning, transparency, and effective public service delivery.
The CBMS is designed to generate local-level information that helps cities and municipalities identify community needs and support more responsive public programs.
