ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two persons wanted for theft surrendered, while another suspect was arrested in Dao, Capiz.
Police said alias “Nasharet” and alias “Dinnes,” both 20 and residents of Barangay I, Roxas City, voluntarily surrendered to the Roxas City police at about 4:40 p.m. on April 14 after learning that warrants had been issued for their arrest for theft.
The warrants were issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Joy Rubi Infante-Guilot of Branch 18 in Roxas City and were dated April 8, 2026.
The court recommended bail of PHP 72,000 each for their temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old food handler was arrested Tuesday morning, April 14, at the house of a friend in Barangay Manhoy, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Lab Delos Santos, alias “Lablab,” also known as “Jeralyn Manzano De Los Santos,” of Barangay Janguslob, Dumarao, Capiz.
Reports said the 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company served the warrant of arrest at about 6:55 a.m. along with Tracker Team Bravo of the Capiz Provincial Police Office and personnel from the Dumarao and Dao police stations.
The warrant of arrest against Delos Santos for theft under Article 308 of the Revised Penal Code, with Criminal Case No. C-2841, was issued by the acting presiding judge of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court in the 6th Judicial Region covering Dingle, Dueñas and San Enrique, Iloilo.
The warrant was dated April 18, 2024.
The court recommended bail of PHP 10,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Delos Santos is under the custody of the Dao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Warrants for theft cases are commonly served through coordinated police operations, especially when suspects are believed to be staying outside their home municipalities.
