Three siblings died from drowning morning of February 9, 2021 in Valderrama, Antique.
The victims were identified as Maricel Canja, 17; Maria Canja, 15; and Ruben Canja, 11, of Bagangay Culyat, Valderrama.
Their brother, 13-year-old Victor, survived.
Senior Master Sergeant Agapito Yabillo of Valderrama PNP said the four siblings are part of a brood of eight.
They were about to cross the Cangaranan River on their way home when a sudden downpour caused the river to swell.
They were swept by the strong water current before a resident arrived to rescue them.
The resident was able to rescue Victor but failed to pull out the three other victims from the raging water.
Their bodies were later found at the nearby Cansilayan village.
