BACOLOD CITY – Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested three siblings in a buy-bust operation that yielded 200 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP1,360,000 at Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan early Wednesday.
The suspects were identified by their aliases as “Eron,” 35, a salesman; “Ilyn,” 26; and “Irene,” 34, all residents of the same village.
The male suspect and the older woman were tagged as high-value individuals, while “Ilyn” was identified as a street-level individual, according to a police report.
Police also recovered from the suspects PHP1,000 in marked money, PHP19,000 in boodle money, and PHP500 in cash.
This arrest follows the confiscation of PHP13.8 million worth of suspected shabu by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) between October 14 and 20.
The series of drug seizures is part of the BCPO’s intensified campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs during the 45th MassKara Festival.
A total of 12 persons were arrested in nine police operations within the week.
