BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here has recently implemented a minor reshuffling of three police chiefs following the arrival of two commissioned police officers from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 in Iloilo City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, former public information officer of PRO-6 was moved to Nocppo and assigned as the new police chief of Bago City Police Station.
She replaced Police Lieutenant Colonel John Joel Batusbatusan who was transferred to Nocppo headquarters effective September 6.
Also, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jay Malong from PRO-6 was moved to Nocppo headquarters and was assigned to the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (Nocpmfc) effective September 7.
Police Major Fernando Somblingo from 1st Nocpmfc was moved to Nocppo headquarters.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Gil John Despi, chief of Escalante City Police Station was relieved from his post and was transferred to Nocppo headquarters, effective September 7.
His vacated post was assumed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Evan Salvo, who came from the provincial police headquarters.
Police Major Roberto Indiape Jr., from Nocppo headquarters returned to Calatrava Municipal Police Station as the new police chief, replacing Police Lieutenant Colonel Rollie Pondevilla.
Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo information officer, said that Pondevilla was already transferred to Panay Island.
Donasco said the reshuffling was normal and was part of the regular movement among commissioned officers, especially police chiefs who had already completed their two-year tenure at their respective police stations.
