Three police chiefs reshuffled

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) here reshuffled three police chiefs who reached the maximum prescribed tenure in their posts.

Police Major Fernando Somblingo, chief of Binalbagan Municipal Police Station; Police Major Roberto Indiape Jr., chief of Calatrava Municipal Police Station; and Police Lieutenant Colonel Lowell Garinganao, chief of Cauayan Municipal Police Station were relieved from their posts effective July 1 and 2, 2021, respectively.

Somblingo swapped posts with Police Captain Ellendie Rebusquillo, deputy of the Provincial Operations Management Unit (POMU).

For Calatrava town, Indiape was replaced by Police Lieutenant Colonel Rollie Pondevilla, who was previously assigned to the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit (PARMU).

Indiape was transferred to Nocppo headquarters.

Further, Garinganao swapped posts with Police Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Barniso, chief of the Human Rights Affairs Office (HRAO).

Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo information officer, said the reshuffling is regularly done especially to police commissioned officers occupying key positions.

This is done to avoid overfamiliarity with the position that may affect the performance of the unit on its mandate, she added.

Meanwhile, Nocppo welcomed Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Evan Salvo as additional personnel to the provincial police force.

Salvo was previously assigned to Iloilo City Police Office before he was installed as PARMU chief at the Nocppo headquarters.
