Three persons fall in drug stings

Three persons were arrested in separate police anti-narcotics operations in Iloilo City afternoon of July 21, 2020.

Allan Bensolan, 35, was arrested at Barangay Simon Ledesma, Jaro district around 12:50 p.m. Tuesday. But his companion, a certain Alexis John Lim, escaped.

Members of the Iloilo City Police Station, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 (PDEA-6) arrested Bensolan after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P34,000.

At around 2 p.m., members of the ICPS 6 collared Jayson Estimar, 25, and Jhun Mark Jallorina at Zone 11, Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district.

Recovered from their possession were five sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P10,100 and P3,100 buy bust money.

The three suspects are now detained and would be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act or 2002).
