Three nabbed in Roxas drug stings

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) in Barangays Cagay and Banica here.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Garcia, PDEU team leader, said the two suspects arrested in Cagay were Zymon Balbona, 28, and Juan Delos Santos, 43, both residents of Tanque village here.

Recovered from the suspects were six sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and a motorcycle.

Meanwhile, a suspected drug peddler included in the lists of the PNP Directorate for Intelligence (DI) and the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) was also collared in another buy-bust operation.

Hans Wilhelm Demalata, 25, of Brgy. Balatucan Panitan, Capiz was arrested at Sitio Caduolan, Banica here.

Recovered from Demalata were seven sachets of suspected shabu, cellphone, and P500 marked money.

Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the three suspects who are detained at the police station.
