Three nabbed in Roxas City drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Three individuals were arrested Saturday morning, Sept. 26, in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose, Roxas City.
Police identified the suspects as aliases “Tawi,” 51; “Gerardo,” 49; and “Reny,” 36, all residents of the area.
Alias “Tawi” was listed as a high-value individual in the Provincial Priority Target List as of Sept. 8, 2026, while aliases “Gerardo” and “Reny” were classified as street-level individuals.
The operation was led by the Capiz Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, with personnel from the Roxas City Police Station.
Police recovered about 14 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 95,200.
The three suspects remained in the custody of the Roxas City police while charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were set to be filed Monday, Sept. 28, before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
