ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Three street-level individuals were arrested Friday morning, May 29, in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabugao, Roxas City.
Police identified the suspects as Mark Gerald Aponesto, 36, single; Ian Tupaz, 46, single; and Victoria Burata, 20, single.
Aponesto and Tupaz are residents of Barangay Cabugao, while Burata is from Barangay Calitan, Panay, Capiz.
Authorities recovered from them four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 17 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 115,600, and other non-drug items.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Roxas City Police.
The three suspects are under the custody of the Roxas City Police Station.
Police are preparing charges for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
