Three nabbed in drug sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Three persons, including a former inmate, were arrested in separate drug buy bust operations by police on April 1, 2020 here.

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office and Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City Police Station arrested Jesus “Bukol” Besana in a sting operation conducted at his residence in Barangay 5 here.

Recovered from Besana were 12 sachets of suspected illegal drugs, a knife, and P500 marked money.

The suspect was arrested and jailed for the same offense few years ago.

The same operatives arrested two more suspects in Brgy. Culasi here.

Jhem Boy Bacud, 18, of Barangay Libas and John Kevin Barlas, 28, of Barangay Culasi here did not resist when the police collared them at their residences.

Recovered from the suspects were four more sachets of suspected drugs and P500 marked money.

The suspects were detained at the police station while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being readied against them.
