ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Friday afternoon in Brgy. Bolo here.
The police identified the suspects as Froilan Magno, 27, of Brgy San Jose, Roxas City; Franklin Calinao, 27, of Sitio Arcabalo, Brgy Bolo also in Roxas City, and Arnel Polendey, 42, of Brgy Badiangon, President Roxas, Capiz.
The suspects denied they were into illegal drug trade. They said that they were about to deliver chicken to a poultry farm in Brgy. Bolo here when the police stopped and arrested them.
Recovered from the suspects were 12 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a cellphone and sling bag.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Provincial Police Office conducted the drug bust operation.
Charges for violations of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects today, Dec 16.
