BACOLOD City – Three persons were arrested while P564,400 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental last Thursday.
In Moises Padilla, Joy Jaravilla of Barangay 5 Poblacion was arrested in Barangay Crossing Magallon, after he allegedly yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, and the P500 marked money.
Police Major Joevito Bose, Moises Padilla town police chief, said that Jaravilla was previously arrested for a drug offense in Isabela town, and was later released through plea bargaining.
Bose said that Jaravilla allegedly sourced his illegal drugs from here and in the province. He is considered a high-value individual because of the volume of drug recovery.
In Talisay City, Paul Vincent Labayen, 36, of Barangay Zone 12 was apprehended in the said village.
Police recovered from him six grams of suspected shabu worth P40,800, a tooter, and the P500 marked money.
Meanwhile, Ma. Glosita Guilaran, 53, of Barangay Tangub here was also arrested in the said village for the seizure of 27 grams of suspected shabu worth P183,600, and the P500 marked money.
Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said that Guilaran is on the drugs watchlist of the barangay and the police.
Puerto said that Guilaran’s live-in partner is in jail for a drug offense.
“Possible siya (Guilaran) nagbulos,” the station commander added.
Puerto said that Guilaran is a street-level individual. She was charged for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
