BACOLOD CITY – Three men died in separate motorcycle accidents in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on Sunday.
In Bacolod, a 44-year-old call center agent died after sideswiping a center island and crashing into a concrete post in Purok Roadside, Barangay Tangub, around 1 a.m.
The victim was identified as Darwin, a resident of Barangay Taloc, Bago City.
Police Executive Master Sgt. Rodney Tiania, deputy chief of the Traffic Enforcement Unit, said the victim was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal head injuries due to the impact.
Investigators believe he may have fallen asleep while driving home.
He was declared dead at the scene.
In San Enrique town, two motorcycle riders died after overshooting a curve and crashing into an electrical post and a narra tree in front of a gas station in Barangay Poblacion at 4:36 a.m.
The victims were identified as Stanley, 43, and his backrider Raymar, 23, both residents of Pontevedra town.
They were declared dead at a hospital, police said.
