Three killed in Estancia road mishap

THREE persons were killed after a motorcycle and a tricycle collided with each other early morning of Feb. 2, 2019 in Estancia, Iloilo. THREE persons were killed after a motorcycle and a tricycle collided with each other early morning of Feb. 2, 2019 in Estancia, Iloilo.
The fatalities were identified as Alvin de la Cruz, 28, the motorcycle driver; de la Cruzs back rider Rustom Arostique, 32, of Barangay Canapian, Maayon, Capiz; and tricycle passenger Marilyn Duran, 56, of Barangay Marita, President Roxas, Capiz.
The incident also injured Danilo Duran, 60, the tricycle driver and Marilyns husband.
Police accounts said that the Duran couple are fish vendors and were on their way to the Estancia fish port and when the collision happened at Barangay Pani-an
Chief Inspector Niño Leonard Amar, Estancia police chief, said that the motorcycle encroached the opposite lane and bumped into the incoming motorcycle.
Amar said construction workers de la Cruz and Arostique were both not wearing crash helmets.
The victims were rushed to Jesus Colmenares District Hospital in Balasan town but did not survive.
