BACOLOD City – Three persons were wounded in separate shooting incidents in Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
In Sipalay City, Ernesto Lubrico, 62, of Barangay 5 was injured when he was shot by an unidentified man inside his house at Sitio Lagundi, Barangay Camindangan.
Lubrico suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks while the suspect fled.
He was taken to a hospital in the city and was later transferred to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
In the neighboring town of Hinoba-an, Richard Dianoy, 37, and Rovelito Meniel, 33, were also wounded after they were allegedly shot by Richard Alosiman, 30, and a certain “Milly,” 50, at Barangay Asia.
Police records showed that the suspects were having a drinking session, when Dianoy reportedly approached them to settle their grudges.
However, the suspects, who were allegedly armed with a shotgun and an unidentified firearm, attacked the victim.
Meniel came to rescue Dianoy, but the suspects also allegedly shot his hands. The suspects then fled.
Both victims were taken to Eleuterio Decena Memorial Hospital but were later referred to Holy Mother of Mercy in Kabankalan City.
