ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons were wounded in a stabbing incident Monday evening, April 13, in Barangay Agtanguay, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as alias “Fel,” 26, single, a laborer; alias “Nel,” 25, single; and alias “Joe,” 28, all residents of Barangay Agtanguay, Dao.
The suspect was identified as alias “Niko,” of legal age and a resident of Barangay Cubugao, Pavia, Iloilo.
A report from the Dao Municipal Police Station said the victims were having a drinking session at a store when the suspect arrived on a motorcycle.
Police said the suspect suddenly stabbed alias “Fel” in the right chest for still undetermined reasons.
Alias “Nel” tried to pacify the suspect but was also stabbed in the back.
Alias “Joe” was likewise stabbed and sustained an injury to his right hand.
The three victims were immediately brought to Sen. Gerry Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao for treatment.
Barangay watchmen and village officials arrested the suspect and turned him over to the Dao police for proper disposition.
Police are investigating the incident and preparing the appropriate charges against the suspect.
