ROXAS City, Capiz – Three houses were reduced to ashes on All Saints’ Day, Nov 1, 2021.
First to go up in smoke was the house of fisherman Raffy Villareña of Brgy. Agbanog, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Arson investigators reported that P60,000 worth of properties went up in flames in the incident.
It took the Bureau of Fire Protection of Pontevedra several hours to respond as Villareña’s house was in a remote area.
On the same day, the house of kagawad Randy Gaspar Tagnong of Brgy. Agtatacay Sur, Sapian was also burned.
The fire, which was believed to be caused by an unattended lighted candle, gobbled around P250,000 worth of properties.
A lighted candle was also blamed for the conflagration that ate up the house of Ronilo Faderan at Brgy. Matinabus, Sigma. Damage to property was estimated at P31,000.
No one was hurt in the three incidents.
