BACOLOD City – Police have two persons of interest in the killing of three persons, including a kid, in Candoni, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
The victims were identified as Analie Emaray, 44, of Barangay Cabia-an, and Edmund Castro, 45, and his nine-year-old son, both residents of Barangay Haba.
Police Major Ruel Culanag, town police chief, said the victims were found lifeless at Sitio Buyong, Barangay Cabia-an.
Emaray suffered a gunshot wound in the eyebrow, Castro sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and his son had hacked wounds in the head and neck.
Police are urging witnesses to surface to determine how the incident happened and the persons behind it.
Culanag said they are looking into a land dispute as a possible motive in the incident.
“May tema-tema na sila abi,” he said. He, however, did not elaborate further while the investigation is ongoing.
