BACOLOD CITY – Three women previously arrested for drug offenses were apprehended again, with PHP 3,740,000 worth of suspected shabu seized in separate buy-bust operations over the weekend.
On January 17, alias “Cecil,” 39, of Barangay Mansilingan, and alias “Jessa,” 36, of Barangay 27, were arrested with 300 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 2,040,000 in Barangay Mansilingan.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) identified both suspects as high-value individuals (HVIs).
They are currently detained at Police Station 7.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant CDEU chief, said Cecil was previously arrested for the same offense in August 2019.
Jessa was initially apprehended in July 2018 and released on September 22, 2024.
Early the following day, alias “Jo,” 50, of Barangay Taculing, was arrested in the same village.
Police seized 250 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 1.7 million from her.
Legada noted that Jo was also arrested in 2002 and released in May 2024.
She is also classified by police as an HVI and is detained at Police Station 6.
