ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Capiz responded to three fire incidents on Oct 22, 2021.
Some P150,000 worth of properties went up in smoke when a rice mill in Barangay Lacaron, Dao got burned.
No one was injured in the fire that hit the rice mill of Danilo Flores at around 10 p.m.
The blaze was placed under control after fire trucks from Dao, Panitan, Pontevedra and Loctugan Fire stations responded.
It took four hours to quell the fire because of the rice husks stored in the area. Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, an eatery on Linan St., Barangay Poblacion, Mambusao was partially burned when fire broke out at around 10:52 a.m. Friday.
The carinderia was owned by Emerose Florentino, 30, of Brgy. San Jose, Jamindan, Capiz.
Arson investigators said that the fire originated from a stand fan that was left running inside the eatery.
On the other hand, a conflagration also gobbled a milk tea shop at Sitio Pulo Fatima, Barangay Milibili here.
The fire erupted around 11 a.m. and was quelled an hour later. Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of damages.
