Three gun owners were arrested in separate police operations in Iloilo province.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) identified the suspects as Hermie Agpalo, 52; Rody Baldosano; and John Paul Ambong, 33.
Members of Dumangas Police Station and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RFMB-6) nabbed Agpalo at Barangay Bolilao, Dumangas town around 11:07 a.m. of September 6.
He was collared following a search operation where he yielded a caliber .38 revolver and a 12-gauge shotgun.
At about the same time, members of San Rafael Police Station also arrested Baldosano in a raid on his house in Barangay Calaigang, San Rafael.
Police operatives recovered a caliber .38 revolver loaded with four ammunition.
At around 6:00 a.m. of Monday, Ambong was arrested with a firearm in a checkpoint at Barangay Poblacion, Alimodian.
Members of Alimodian Police Station and RFMB-6 recovered a pistol-type homemade shotgun in his possession.
The three suspects are now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
