Three electrocuted in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons died of electrocution in separate incidents Wednesday.
The first incident claimed the lives of Jonel Flores, 38, of Brgy. Man-up Altavas, Aklan; and Rex Almanon, 22, of Brgy. Damayan Sapian, Capiz.
Investigation by Sapian indicated that Flores was delivering a bag of cement to a relative when he accidentally stepped on a duplex wire connected to the distribution pole of Aklan Electric Cooperative.
Almanon tried to rescue him but he, too, was electrocuted.
The two were declared dead at Mambusao District Hospital.
Meanwhile, a minor boy also died of electrocution at Sitio San Vicente Barangay Lonoy, Roxas City.
Based on information, the victim and his friends were on their way home after catching fish at the beach area when the incident happened.
They passed by the house of the victim’s aunt where he accidentally touched a live wire.
The victim was declared dead at the hospital.
