ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Task Force Kabalaka 6K arrested three dump truck drivers at Brgy. Poblacion, Tapaz for transporting sand and gravel with tampered and open-dated delivery receipts Wednesday morning.
The drivers presented the tampered or open-dated delivery receipts in a checkpoint, which is in violation of Section 20.01 (j) of the Revised Revenue Code of Capiz.
The trucks were turned over to the barangay officials and will only be released to the truck drivers after payment of fines.
Meanwhile, the Bantay Dagat of Pilar, Capiz also caught three persons allegedly conducting illegal fishing in the seawaters of the town.
The suspects were identified as Rodel Sebuque (boat captain), Benjie Lucenio, and Greg Tenorio, all residents of Barangay Libas here.
The trio was caught using trawl in catching fish.
Recovered from the suspects were two motor bancas, several fishing paraphernalia and 25 kilos of assorted fishes.
They will be charged for violation of Municipal Ordinance Number 01 series of 1999.
