ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Three more people were arrested for alleged illegal gambling activities Wednesday afternoon, May 27, at Sitio Adlawan, Barangay San Blas, Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Nimfa,” 64; alias “Jenibeth,” 53; and alias “Analiza,” 53, all residents of the barangay.
The three were caught playing “tong-its.”
Recovered from the suspects were 44 playing cards, PHP 75 in bets, two black chairs, one dirty white tablecloth, and a folding steel round table.
The three were placed under the custody of the Pilar Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Charges for violating Presidential Decree No. 1602, or the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law, will be filed against them.
Last Tuesday afternoon, 10 individuals were arrested after they were caught playing “tong-its” in Panay, Capiz.
Charges for violating the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law were filed against them Thursday, May 28, before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
