Thirdy Ravena will be debuting in Japan’s B.League on October 3 after the San-En NeoPhoenix revealed their schedule for the upcoming season through their social media account.
The first Filipino to be acquired via the league’s Asian Player Quota, “King Eagle” Ravena will be expected to deliver right away as NeoPhoenix plans to improve on their 5-36 record last season.
However, the first task for Ravena won’t be that easy as they will face the Chiba Jets anchored by Japanese national team point-guard Yuki Togashi and tough American imports Josh Duncan and Shannon Shorter.
The Gilas Pilipinas product will try to impress the Japanese crowd in Hamamatsu Arena in Shizuoka and will seek to provide the much-needed scoring and defensive presence San-En lacked in their previous season.
The Ravena-Togashi match-up is also highly-anticipated as one of the most successful collegiate player in the Philippines face off against the former NBA D-League player.
