BACOLOD City – Task Force Kasanag founder and national commander John Chong said TFK chapters all over the country held a simultaneous caravan on Sunday, the birthday of President Rodrigo Duterte, to remind him of his promise to push for federalism under his term.
TFK is a civil society group that advocates against graft and corruption, terrorism, illegal drugs and criminality and has a large membership in Luzon, Mindanao and Negros Occidental, where its headquarters is based.
“We want to remind President Digong of his promise and its status,” he said.
Chiong said TFK has been supporting the administration of Duterte, particularly in his fight against the four menaces of society such as crimes, corruption, terrorism, and criminality.
“We already have 126,000 signatures gathered manifesting their support for Federalism,” he added.
Chiong said he submitted the manifesto for federalism with the 126,000 signatures to Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Secretary Adelino Sitoy.
“We hope that before his term ends, federalism will push through,” Chiong said.
