This, after Bacolod Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya talked to Police Colonel Manuel Placido, director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), about the incident.
Gasataya personally inspected the area Monday night, and coordinated with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to place a temporary cover on the manhole and warning signs.

The BCPO is already trying to identify the two persons on board a tricycle who allegedly stole the manhole cover which was captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.
Meanwhile, Gasataya called on junkshop owners to inform the authorities if somebody sells to them a manhole cover.
