BACOLOD City – Four persons, including a teenager, were arrested after 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000 were seized from them in a buy-bust operation at Ylagan Extension, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
The subject was identified as Charles Castro, 20; while his companions were Jason Sabellano, 22; Christian Fajardo, 18, all residents of Barangay 6; and Orly Escuadro, 32, of Barangay 2.
Police Lieutenant Ruby Aurita, deputy police chief of San Carlos City Police Station, said that Castro has been placed under monitoring for three months.
“Medyo danlog siya (Castro) abi, and on and off iya transactions,” she added.
Aurita said that Castro and Sabellano allegedly started as drug runners until they ended up allegedly engaging in the selling of illegal drugs. “Su-od gid na sila na mag abyan,” she added.
The duo allegedly conspired during the transaction with a police agent, while Fajardo and Escuadro were supposed to hold a “pot session” at Castro’s house.
Police also recovered from them an improvised tooter, lighters, the P1,100 marked money, and P4,500.
Aurita said they received information that the illegal drugs were sourced outside the province. But, police continue to validate it.
Castro and Sabellano will be charged for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, as well as conspiracy, while the two others will be facing a case for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
