A teenage boy remains at large after allegedly killing a 35-year-old man in a knife attack early morning of June 4, 2023 in Molo, Iloilo City.
Joseph Alisin, a resident of Barangay Calumpang where the incident happened, succumbed to multiple stab injuries.
Captain Benjie Dicen, Molo police chief, said Alisin and another friend were on their way home past 3 a.m. on Sunday when the incident happened.
As they were walking on the street, the suspect, who is believed to be 17 years old, threw an empty beer bottle at them.
Alisin approached the minor but the latter repeatedly stabbed him.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but died minutes later.
The suspect fled towards Barangay Calaparan after the incident.
Dicen said they’re still checking if the suspect had companions during the incident.
Investigators are also verifying if Alisin and the suspect had a previous misunderstanding.
Several days ago, another man was killed in a stabbing incident in Molo district.
Mark Catalan, 42, died after he was stabbed at 2:30 a.m. on May 30 at Barangay East Timawa, Molo.
According to reports, suspect Rogelio Pablador, 50, of Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo, was on his way home when three men, including Catalan, waylaid him.
A commotion ensued until the suspect stabbed Catalan.
Pablador was arrested and already charged in court.
