A 19-year-old lady was netted by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO)’s campaign against illegal drugs.
Jypsy Almores of Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City was arrested at the nearby Bolilao village around 10:25 p.m. of July 31.
Members of ICPO City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and the Iloilo City Police Station 5 collared Almores after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P12,000.
When he was later frisked, police recovered five more sachets of suspected shabu, a coin purse, a mobile phone and P350 cash.
Captain Roque Gimeno III, CDEU team leader, said the drugs weighed around 55 grams and valued at P374,000.
The suspect allegedly took his supply from a source at the New Bilibid Prison.
Police conducted a three-week surveillance operation before they finally collared the teenager.
Almores is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
