Teen nabbed in drug sting

BACOLOD City – A 15-year-old boy was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2 here last Thursday.

Police withheld the name of the minor-subject.

Recovered from him were three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,000.

According to Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, the suspect alleged that he was forced to reportedly engage in the illegal drug trade because his older sibling is sick.

“Wala man kuno obra iya nanay, amo na nag duso sa iya,” Pastrana said.

Police, however, have yet to determine who recruited or who taught him to allegedly sell illegal drugs.

The minor was turned over to the Social Development Center (SDC) for custody.
