Teen found dead in Oton creek

The body of a teenage boy was found early morning of Nov 2, 2021 in a creek in Oton, Iloilo.

It didn’t take long for police to identify the 15-year-old victim Jay-R, as he was a resident of Barangay Pulo Maestra Vita, the area where his body was found.

A resident called the Oton Police Station that a dead person was spotted around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

He sustained injuries on his head, right arm, and abdomen.

The victim’s father immediately identified the body.

According to Jay-R’s brother, he failed to go home last night.

But before leaving the house, he was able to cook rice for dinner.

They tried looking for him but to no avail.

His brother claimed that Jay-R used to frequent the relocation site in the area.

It is possible that someone may have picked on him.

Jay-R had not also told anyone if he had enemies, or if someone wanted to harm him.

But a relative of the victim claimed that he got involved in a fracas.

His father also believed that his son knew his assailant.

Police are still investigating to identify the motive and perpetrators behind the incident.
