An 18-year-old girl was arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation last week in La Paz, Iloilo City.
Police arrested Veronica Lee, a resident of Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz district, in a drug buy-bust around 11 p.m. Friday at Barangay Luna.
Members of the Regional Drug Enforcement Agency 6 (RDEU-6) and La Paz Police Station collared the suspect after she handed a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,500.
Lee claimed that someone just asked her to buy shabu.
But she denied that she used illegal drugs, much more into the illegal drug trade.
Lee is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
