BACOLOD City – A female teenager was arrested for a drug offense in Bago City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Police served the arrest warrant for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), Section 11 (illegal possession of dangerous drugs), and Section 12 (illegal possession of drug paraphernalia) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the 16-year-old suspect, whose name was withheld by authorities.
Bago City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Frances Guanzon issued the arrest warrant on Nov 19, 2019.
While she can post P200,000 and P40,000 as bail for Sections 11 and 12, she was barred from doing so for the Section 5 charge.
The minor-suspect is with the Women and Children Protection Desk, pending the recommendation of the court on her custody.
