BACOLOD City – A female teenager drowned to her death inside a water well at Sitio Balabag, Barangay San Antonio, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Police identified the victim as Maica Gapan, 18, of the said village.
Investigation showed that the victim was last seen that morning while fetching water at the well to wash her clothes.
It is believed that she may have slipped and fell inside the well.
Her family and their neighbors searched for her until her body was found inside the well which was about 30-foot deep.
The victim was declared dead at a hospital.
