A teenage boy who was celebrating his 17th birthday died from electrocution late afternoon of Nov 30, 2020 in Leganes, Iloilo.
According to police reports, the incident happened after the victim, Rolan Melliza, unplugged the extension wire that was connected to their submersible pump.
Captain Roy Tayona, Leganes police chief, said the pump was located at the back portion of the victim’s family home at Sitio Pangpang in Barangay Guinobatan.
The victim was immediately taken to Metro Iloilo Hospital and Medical Center, Inc. in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Tayona said they were informed of the incident at 6:30 p.m. They later received report that the teenager died at 7:14 p.m.
